Buffalo County Wisconsin is recognized as one of the top destinations in North America for opportunities to harvest trophy whitetails. This area has become famous for massive bodied animals with tremendous headgear. As a matter of fact, more B&C and P&Y deer are harvested per square mile in Buffalo County than any other county in the nation. Buffalo County Outfitters offers a high quality, affordable hunt in the heart of this area. Year round, our staff is shed hunting, scouting and constantly identifying possible new stand locations. We want you to hunt and harvest only mature deer. For now, we have not had to impose a minimum penalty, but our properties hold many spectacular 2 1/2 year old bucks that need time to mature. We would like to see you harvest at least 3 1/2 year old bucks that gross 130" or better. And with patience, you may get a chance at a true giant.
This is not a guaranteed hunt. We have no high fences. To that end, you will earn your trophy and we will work very hard to get you an opportunity. In return, we expect you to hunt just as hard to maximize your time in the field. Our Guide staff are all accomplished hunters who are very familiar with the property. They take pride in putting clients on big bucks. We hunt mostly out of Lone Wolf and Muddy Outdoor hang on stands. These stands provide some of the safest and largest platforms in the industry in their category. We do have a number of ladder stands and box blinds available as well.
All meals are included and consist of a light breakfast of bagels, muffins, toast, a variety of cereals, oatmeal, juice and coffee. Pack yourself a bag lunch with a variety of cold meats and snacks and at the end of the day our full time cook will prepare one of the best hot, homestyle meals in Mondovi! Please let us know at the time of booking if you have special dietary needs so we can be prepared when you arrive.

A number of clients have shown interest in a package that would allow them to spend more than five days with us here at Buffalo County Outfitters so I have introduced the 2010 BCO Hunt Club. For a one time fee of $5,000 you can join us for the season this fall AT YOUR CONVENIENCE including a weekend.
And for those of you who join the Club before July 1st, you will recieve a FREE three(3) day spring turkey hunt including lodging in 2011! And if chasing birds isn't your thing, then spend a three day weekend with us shed hunting...
The package also includes an embroidered BCO jacket, sweatshirt and hat.

We understand that hunting pressure is a concern when you book with an outfitter. In the interest of minimizing that pressure, we only host two hunts before the week of Halloween. And when it comes to clients at camp, we can accomodate twenty-one and host twelve. If you're looking at other outfitters, ask them how many hunters they host and how many weeks they hunt them...
