Jim won the sweepstakes hunt that we
donated to Deer and Deer Hunting magazines' new
video show. He came out this fall to do his hunt
with us but he didn’t know he was going to be
filmed. The 1st day on stand he saw some small bucks
and passed on a doe because he thought she was too
small, then his camera man reminded he should have
shot because he couldn’t shoot any bucks until he
had a doe tagged. You know what happened next about
a 140” ten point walked by and he had to let him go.
I’m sure that was tough...Jim had
never shot any buck before back at home in Michigan.
The second day though he redeemed himself shooting a
doe early in the morning and then a nice 3-1/2 year
old 8 point came through the funnel they were on and
he made a great shot. This hunt will be aired on
there new show sometime this Summer or Fall 2005.
Congrats to Jim and Deer & Deer Hunting...it was a
pleasure to have all involved in camp. |
