As the owner of Buffalo County Outfitters I go to great lengths to ensure you are satisfied with our services. I am at the lodge each and every day of the season to ensure things run smoothly and you enjoy your time spent with us. I also take the extra time to eat dinner with clients and talk about their day to help forge a plan for the next hunt.
What to expect about the hunt…
Before your hunt begins we always kick things off with an informative pre-hunt meeting. This allows my staff and I to set clear expectations and answer all of your questions or concerns about the hunt before you set foot in the woods. To ensure you are hunting in the most desirable location we select your stand placement each and every day. Time of year, food sources, weather patterns, wind direction and recent sightings are the major factors we use to make our decision. We’ll even provide you with in-depth information (past encounters, deer movement, etc.) about your stand location to ensure you are most ready when the time comes to harvest that trophy animal.
Our management philosophy…
Our management philosophy is centered around not harvesting any two year old animals. We strongly discourage anyone from taking anything that gross scores under 130 inches on our Wisconsin hunts and 140 inches on our Iowa hunts. We ask that you participate in your hunt with the same mindset and we have now implemented a 130 inch minimum restriction in Wisconsin and a 140 inch minimum restriction in Iowa.
